Who: Open to ALL Big Sky Families that want to get their children ready for Kindergarten.

What: Series of programs designed to help prepare your child for a successful start in kindergarten.  Childcare and dinner will be provided at the session location so that parents can fully participate.

Great Expectations

 

Meet your Ophir kindergarten teachers as they walk you through their expectations and hopes for incoming kindergartners. Morningstar’s Lead Teacher, Cailin Ross, will guide you through hands-on activities that you can work on at home this summer. Participants will also share advice and concerns with each other.

 

Childcare and dinner will be provided for all ages.

Loving Literacy

 

Join Kathy House and Robbeye Samardich as they take the mystery out of reading with your preschooler. Kathy/Robbeye will introduce you to a new program, “1,000 Books Before Kindergarten.” Kathy/Robbeye will provide an array of different resources available for the prekindergarten community.

Big Sky School District’s Thrive Parent Liaison, Lori Swenson, invites you to a parent workshop to discuss your kindergartner’s development, learn ways to partner with the school, and identify opportunities to create routines and structure for a happy and healthy Kindergartner!

 

Thrive provides family support services in the Gallatin County.  The mission of Thrive is to give every child an opportunity to succeed and grow to become a valued member of our community and the world.
